Tunja: City of hiding treasures

Tunja is a colombian city and the capital of the department of Boyacá, with a population approximate in the 2013 of 181.407 people.

In this city the most popular restaurants that offers the typical boyacense food are LEÑA VERDE LA CASA DEL VINO located in the Transversal 15 #24-99 in El Carmen neighborhood; another option to taste the famous boyacense food is the Palacio de la Longaniza, located in the Cr 10 # 29-45 were is prepare as the name says the famous longaniza and finally the restaurant Soy boyacense located in the Cr 10 # 25-15 were all the traditional food can be found.

In this picture we can see a restaurant that offers the Longaniza for the client can choose to eat according to the client´s favoritism.

In Tunja we can taste a lot of typical dishes like mazamorra Chiquita, the famous cocido boyacense, the longaniza, the corn arepas also known as arepas boyacenses, the sorbet of passionflower, the fritanga and finally the puchero boyacense.

In this picture are the three final dishes that were mention before, the first image is the fritanga, the second is the sorbet of passionflower accompanied by the Ajiaco and the last one is the puchero boyacense.

In Tunja we can visit apart the restaurants mentioned before three places like the

Puente de Boyacá, the Pozo de Don ato and finally the Plaza de Bolivar.

This last image is a picture of the Plaza de Bolivar de Tunja.
