- What is the project about and how is the project materialized
The project I want to launch is based on the educational area; it is called “Educación para todos”. The main aim is to provide education to the jungle community as they do not have enough resources to attend school.
It will be a Non Governmental Organization starting off with teachers who volunteer and do not earn any money for being in the jungle. It is related to providing help without waiting for any economic reward
- What is the background of the project and the problem that tries to solve
Teoria is a small village in the jungle where levels of education are very low compared to the rest of the country. This is due to the way of life of the tribe; they work the land and do not take care of the children by taking them to school.
The Peruvian government established a policy in which they invest money in the city to provide the community a proper education. The problem was that they did not provide qualified teachers; they just started to build a school. This is due to the necessity of the government to satisfy the Peruvian population because of some political problems.
The problem that the NGO tries to solve is the lack of educational resources to provide a good level of education to this tribe as they have the necessary installations to start to build a new society in Teoria.
- What problems could or will it solve in the future
The main problem the project tries to solve is the illiteracy of the jungle community. Other problem that will be helped is the ability of the community to speak Spanish and the ability to communicate with the rest of the people in the country. Nowadays they only know how to speak their mother tongue which is not useful for communicating as it is an indigenous language.
- What historical problems could have been solved with this type of project solution
The historical problems that could have been solved are few. First of all, this type of project could have helped the integration of indigenous people into the Peruvian society, as they are seen as an independent society.
Another problem that could have been solved is the ability of the tribe to sell their products and enter in the national market as they know how to work the land in a cheaper way because they do not need to use expensive technology. Without this problem they will be part of the society and will earn money to improve their social status.
The illiteracy of the tribe has always been a large problem to solve, as it is the principal factor in developing the community. Once developed, they would have been able to communicate the rest of the people and so to be able to understand their culture and the developed world.
