Child Abuse in Colombia
Child abuse is a phenomenon, it is experienced daily by adults to bring children to treatment is not due to their well-being, these cases are living in Colombia and the situation of our society is something that must change. Because it brings bad implications for the future as well, this problem left consequences that are irreparable. When a child is abuse, I can say that we are destroying the hopes of a nation. Colombian households take this alternative “child abuse” to correct the children by their unconscious actions. Many of the causes and effects that make the parents react in this way because of the lack of money, education or a problem in their infancy. It also causes various effects to children like attitudes, conditions, and difficulties.
So far there are different explanations for such attitudes by adults and it has been influenced high-stress situations that make all the fury of the person rests with the child. Abuse is a situation that may happen in all social classes. We can see that this can be more in children who live under economic conditions of poverty. Moreover, in many cases, the abuser has a history of having suffered the same kind of assault during his/her childhood or a person who has very little ability to control his/her impulses. It is obvious that the size and strength differences between adults and children, they can suffer major injuries that can even cause death.
Colombia has a lot of conditions that may cause this problem. We always have to keep in mind that child abuse can occur in all social classes. Some of them are poverty, low education, and parenthood on people who have not established a home or who are single. The abuse of psychoactive substances such as drugs and alcohol and a number of factors have been implicated in these attacks. Children raised in homes where they are abused, often show post-traumatic and emotional disorders. Many of them experience feelings of low self-esteem, suffer from depression, and anxiety. They often use alcohol or other drugs to alleviate their psychological stress. So when they become adults, they are going to have a big addiction, more often than in the general population.
Effects produced in Colombia by child abuse show many difficulties in establishing a healthy relationship to adulthood. Some children are afraid to talk about what happens to them because they think no one will believe them. Sometimes, they do not realize that the abuse they are having is an abnormal behavior then, they learn to repeat this "model” unconsciously. It will make this even harder to establish relationships as healthy as an adult. You cannot see the true root of their emotional problems, until as adults seeking for help to solve them.
