The author thinks that these rewards are not good for the students because they think they are doing a good job when they really need to improve a lot. Many teachers tend to make gifts to students who do good work but this becomes a habit and students think they should not try too hard. I agree with the author that everyone must work hard and strive to achieve their dreams. teachers are not required to give good grades, we should take more responsibility when they enter school or college. I think that students receiving awards for their work does not try hard enough and do not develop enough academically.
In college, you need to have more responsability and more study habits. Any teacher is obligated to give you the grade what you want. I think that the change from school to college is large, but everyone has the capacity to adapt to it. When we accept the challenge of getting into a college, we must face it and not give up so fast. We have to take more responsability and do not depend from anyone.
I think everything in life is hard, but we always have to think about the keys to success and move on no matter what, without expecting anything in return. Many times we do the things expecting something in return, but we do not give our best effort. We all have the ability to do great things if we want to, we just have to work hard to achieve. We can never expect anything in life because we do not know what might happen. What we do know is that we create our own path.
