Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. born on April 4, 1965, in Manhattan, New York, US. He's an actor, singer and composer. He's son of Robert Downey Sr. and Elsie. Robert have an old sister called Allyson. Downey and his older sister Allyson grew up together in Greenwich Village.

When his parents divorced in 1978, Robert moved to California with his father.

When he lived with his father, Robert Downey Jr. used to be surrounded by drugs, because his father allowed for him to use marijuana at age six, but he stopped doing it, because he was in rehabilitation.  

In a interview, Downey said: "When my dad and I took drugs together, it was like trying to express him his love for me in the only way I knew how".

During his childhood, Downey used to have minor roles in his father's films. But he stopped doing it, because he decided to start his career as an actor.

In 1982, at the age of 17 years, Downey dropped out of Santa Monica high school and moved back to New York to start his career as actor.

When his career was beginning, Robert used to have small jobs, but he left those jobs when he had his Hollywood opportunity.

Robert Downey Jr. has 26 years in the world of show. He has participated in more of 60 films and he has been nominated twice for an Oscar.

On Oscar awards 1993, Robert Downey, said: "Acting is always a challenge". And the phrase was amazing in the public.

In other Oscar awards 2009, Downey, said: " I know very little about acting. I'm just a phony with an incredible talent."

Nowadays, Robert Downey Jr. is one of the actors best paid and he lives in Los Angeles, California.
