Integumentary system
[pic 1]
Functions of the integumentary system:
- Way to eliminate wastes
- Regulates body temperature
- Keep water in your body
Cardiovascular system
[pic 2]
Components of blood:
- Red blood cells: carry O and CO2
- White blood cells: fight against diseases
- Plasma: transport minerals and nutrients
- Platelets: form clot and stop bleeding
What is the difference between artery and vein?
- Artery:blood rich in O2 from the heart to the body
- Vein: carry blood poor in O2 from the body to the heart
Track of nutrients, oxygen, waste and carbon dioxide in our cardiorespiratory system
Nutrients: Small intestine (vili) Blood All body cells[pic 3][pic 4]
Oxygen: Lungs (alveoli) Blood(capillaries) All body cells[pic 5][pic 6]
Waste: Comes from body cells Blood Excretory[pic 7][pic 8]

Carbon Dioxide: Comes from body cells [pic 9]

Excretory System
[pic 13]
The function of the Excretory System is to remove wastes such as sweat, C02, urea
Cases:
- When I feel hot, I sweat through the skin
- When I breathe, I exhale C02 through the lungs
- When I urine, I release urea through the kidney
- When I run, I sweat through the skin
- When I move my bowel, I release feces through the rectum/anus
Which are the organs involved in the Excretory System? How?
Organ: How?
Kidney Urea through the urinary system
Lungs C02 through the respiratory system
Skin Sweat through the intergumentary system
