- DENSIDAD:
An important property of any material is the density, defined as mass per unit volume. A homogeneous material has the same density through this. We use the density ρ. If a mass m homogeneous material has a volume V, the density ρ is given as:

- PESO ESPECÍFICO:
The specific weight of a body or substance, is the relationship between the weight and the volume occupied by a substance either in solid, liquid or gaseous state. It is a constant in the sense that it is a value that does not change for each substance and that as weight increases also increase its occupied volume, as is the case with the density.

- MASA:
It is a fundamental physical quantity that indicates the amount of matter in a body. The unit of measurement of the mass, according to the SI (International System of Units) is the kilogram, gram, where one gram is one-thousandth of a kilogram (1 g = 0.001 kg) is also used.

- VOLUMEN :
Volume is the amount of space occupied by a body. Volume is the derived quantity, I e is found by multiplying three dimensions: length width and depth.
The unit in the international system to measure the volume is the cubic meter.

- TENSION SUPERFICIAL:
Surface tension is the tendency of a liquid to provide a high free surface, ie, the liquid surface in contact with a gas tends to contract.
Liquids have two forms of molecular attraction: the cohesion allowing a liquid resist shear and adhesion that allows him to “stick “to other bodies.
The combination of the two forms of molecular attraction di origin to capillarity. When adhesion has a greater effect than the cohesion, it is said that the liquid is able to wet the solid surface with which it is in contact, suffering a rise in the contact point.
- GRAVEDAD ESPECÍFICA:
The specific gravity is defined as the unit weight of the material divided by the unit weight of distilled water at 4 degrees centigrade. The specific gravity is represented by Gs , and can also calculate using any weight ratio of the water weight substance provided that equal volumes of material and water are considered .
The specific gravity is dimensionless and numerically coincides with the density.
