ACT. 7 WRITING FORUM - Ingles I

My name is Juan Perez. I am from Neiva but I live in the city of Pasto. I am currently studying Systems and Systems Engineering. I am in the first semester at CEAD Pasto. I belong to the group of English. I am 22 years old. I am a freelance worker. I have a beautiful 10 year old daughter. I live in a small apartment with my mom. In my spare time I like reading, listening to music, going to the cinema to watch movies and also swimming.

My expectations to this course are to expand my knowledge of English.

I live in San Juan de Pasto, Nariño - Colombia. This city is called the "shaking city" by its inhabitants due to the GalerasVolcano. Pasto has almost 450,000 million inhabitants, it is located in the southwest part of the Colombia and it borders with the Republic of Ecuador. The weather can range from hot, warm and cold. Its main tourist sites are the Shrine of Our Lady of Las Lajas, the Galeras volcano, the lake of Cocha, Corota Island, Los nevados and Cumbal lagoon. Another important annually event carried out in Pasto is the carnival of whites and blacks.

I live by the main street where all the dancers and parades pass; my house is very close to the hospital and to Plaza de Nariño which is located in the heart of the city. Near my house, there is also a drug store, a bakery and a vegetable and fruit market that I go with my mom.

Also, I occasionally visit some restaurants. There is a very good one called "Cuyes the 40", where you can ask for regional dishes like cuy accompanied with rice and potatoes and popcorn. Additionally, if you want accompaniment, you can order "lapingachos" vegetable salad as seen in the picture.
