Dear Parents,

I am in charge along with many other great students in a campaign that focuses on cutting down carbon emissions as a community, and this includes Staff, Students and even you, parents. We believe, that slowly, community by community it is a good idea and at the end better for all to reduce carbon emission, as it damages the very own environment that keeps us alive and around today. The solution itself is simple and possible for us to apply. The basic reduction is basically the controlling and the reduction in the utilization of cars. Some alternatives come as follows:

1. Bikes: Bicycles are the direct solution as they have many more positives than negatives. The positives include that not only the emissions are reduced but for whoever is biking is kept healthier and fitter. The only negative is that it takes longer, something I’m sure we can all overcome.

2. Car Pulling: This consists of using cars but picking friends or other parent’s kids up and taking them to school, reducing emission. It includes cars, but a big reduction is better than our actual transportation systems.

3. Walking: This might be the most extreme one, but in solution its perfect, reducing emission by 100% and also having very healthy results, just as biking.

As a community we ask you to please take this solutions into consideration as they could on the long term be the answer to many of our actual problems. Encourage yourself and encourage your kids.
