1.- The most beautiful monument in my city is the “alto de la alianza”. It is 8 kilometers at the north of the city, exactly on the Intiorko hill.
2.- the Alto de la Alianza monument was built how tribute to the fallen in the battle that happens on the plane of Intiorko hill and inaugurated on May 26, in 1982. This was designed by the architect Julio Enrique Vargas Giles and engineer Jorge Espinoza Caceres. The eight sculptures were created by sculptor Holger Carpio Dextre.
3.- The museum site is circular and inside you can see: weapons of the time, rifles, sabers, dress uniforms, letters and documents.
4.- The monument has a set of 8 sculptures that summarizes the actions and attitudes of the history of Tacna, the heroism, the resurgence and future projection.
The first sculpture represents "THE AWAKENING OF HOMELAND" evokes the emancipation of Francisco Antonio de Zela in 1,811.
The second sculpture, called "THE LEGACY OF PATRIOTISM", shows the mother is teaching her son Heroic tradition, is called.
The third sculpture called "THE DECISION OF HONOR" represents the alliance Peruvian - Bolivian in the defense of the country against the attack of the invader.
The fourth sculpture is called "THE IMMOLATION" represents the tragedy of the battle.
The fifth and sixth sculpture, called "unruly PEOPLES" represent the grieving stage from captivity in Tacna and Arica.
The seventh sculpture is called "RETURN TO THE HOMELAND".
The eighth and final sculpture is called "THE NATION".
