Who where the “good guys” in the Boer War?

The Boer War, two armed conflicts where they faced the British Empire and the Boers. The republicans acquired the name “Boers” for the Dutch and Afrikaans word for farmers. The discovery of gold made the Transvaal. The Dutch began an independence movement. The British Empire and the Boers had two wars, the first in 1880-1881 and the second 1899-1902. In the Second war, with the discovery of gold in Transvaal (now known as Boers more Republic) was when the British Empire came to the lands of the Transvaal. The British wanted to claim their rights and equality for British citizens resident in Transvaal. Kruger presented the ultimatum that they had 48 hours to leave Transvaal otherwise declare war. Britain refused and the Boer War began.

Did the Spanish blow up the USS Maine?

Maine is best known for its catastrophic loss in Havana harbor on February 15, 1898. Maine was sent to Cuba when Cubans began their independence; they sent it in order to protect U.S. citizens who were in Cuba. Upon arrival the ship exploded. Some historians’ say it was a technical problem, others says that were the Spanish, others say that were the Cubans who put a mine to protect their coasts. At the time it exploded United States believed that were the Spanish so, start the war between Spain and the United States.

Now a days, nobody knows who is the one who blow up the USS Maine
