Multicultiralism in Argentina

In different countries, people have different views of things, agree or disagree. Multiculturalism is a controversial statement in America, in this case, Argentina. I agree that is a positive statement for all this reasons.

To begin with, multiculturalism is diversity of two or more cultures in some regions. Argentina is an immigrant country; most people in Argentina are immigrants. They come from different countries and different groups, they have an own language, education, customs, religions and a way of live. When they arrive to Argentina, they must communicate with other people trying to have an adoptive way with the Spanish. Immigrants learn Spanish and the culture from Argentinian people or earlier immigrants who are around them.

Secondly, in their public activities, they must accept the Argentinian cultural traditions, but in their private lives, they use their own customs, values, religions, traditional festivals and experiences not to forget where they came from. They are still retaining their own cultures

Finally, the Argentinian people has admitted and supported cultural diversity in the last decade.

They allowed all citizens to preserve their cultural ancients. Public school has bilingual education programs, the most common it’s English and Spanish because of the demanding peoples with their languages. If we continue talking about the laws, racism and discrimination are significantly decreased. The relationships of people in the country are friendly and harmonious. We are understanding and learning from each other to make the society change every day. Multiculturalism is becoming more important than any other time in history.

In conclusion, multiculturalism is a good thing for society and people, so it is positive. We can eat different foods, enjoy the celebration of different countries or even watch different performances so the really important thing is to develop the multiculturalism in our lives and continue to perform it in the future.
