Hamlet ", written around 1601 and belongs to the Elizabethan theater (English), is the most universal of William Shakespeare portrays a creepy way mix of glory and squalor that characterizes human nature. Throughout this clearly noted the details of a tragedy with style and personality, where there are stress positions, an unreal space treatment and repeated numerous and dramatic effects.

With respect to the argument, the work begins when the King of Denmark dies and his brother Claudius takes the throne. Suddenly marries Gertrude, Queen, and Prince Hamlet goes into a deep depression. You can see the shadow of his father, who reveals that Claudius killed him access to the crown and demands revenge. Then, Hamlet pretends to be mad for the monarch does not suspect what their true intentions. In confirmation of this by the spectrum, the prince has a work is rendered in court, illustrating the murder, and according to the reaction to the king you know if he really committed the crime. In the middle of the work very disturbed Claudius and Hamlet retires confirms the revelations of the shadow. Then, confronts his mother and then hear someone behind a curtain. Believing that it is the king's voice, thrusts his sword, but who was there was Polonius behind. The specter reappears and urges Hamlet to finish the job, but can not because the king sent him to England and gives the order to kill him there. However, the prince escapes forging the king's orders. When you return to Denmark he learns that Ophelia went mad and drowned. Laertes rushes to avenge the deaths of Ophelia, his sister, and Polonius, his father. Claudio persuades him to participate in a fencing match with Hamlet, equipped with a poisoned weapon to ensure his death. During the event, Laertes does the trick but is wounded by the sword adulterated. In turn, Gertrude takes a drink poisoned it was for his son and dies. Finally, before dying, Hamlet kills Claudius.

In short, all die. The cause of this is that Hamlet acted late due to his melancholy and depression, and this was a kind of divine punishment. Therefore, Hamlet's family will recover the honor and this is one of the central themes in the work.

As we see, "Hamlet" is a typical tension-filled tragedy. This is perceived throughout the story, with acts of pessimism and melancholy, present in virtually all its characters. In the case of Hamlet and Ophelia, subjects seem to be only immersed in his own sadness and parallel world, where they know "too much" to be happy and earn items that only hurt more and more buried in the back of his own folly that leads to senseless acts that neither they fail to understand.

We will focus in regard to the characters. All are members of royalty (typical of the tragedy) and are: Hamlet, Prince of Denmark and the protagonist, Claudius, King of Denmark, Hamlet's uncle, The Shadow, ghost of Hamlet's father, Gertrude, Queen of Denmark and mother Hamlet, Polonius, royal advisor, Ophelia, daughter of Polonius, Laertes, son of Polonius and brother of Ophelia, Rosencrantz and Huildenstern, false friends of Hamlet, Horatio, Hamlet's true friend; Fortinbras, King of Norway and King of Denmark to Claudius and Hamlet die.

First, the sender and subject of the play is Hamlet, who acts as the protagonist. It is a sixteenth century prince lives in his palace in Denmark. It is the only son of a king in the prime of life and a very young queen. He, therefore, the children and youth of a crown prince and an only child. It was darling, accustomed to obedience of all. It is very sensitive, innocent, intellectual, thoughtful, cowardly, and has a very passive attitude.

Hamlet is very low mood: feel you live in a world of deception and corruption, feeling he is confirmed by the murder of his father and his mother's unbridled sensuality. These revelations will lead to a state in which the moments of anguish and indecision jostle with frantic action. Shown disturbed by the death of his father he does not know who killed him, but is suspicious of Claudius. He also feels a deep hatred for their relationship her mother and uncle reproaches she has been married to Claudio, as he sees it as a betrayal of his father. It has an immense love for her, but an exaggerated love. It was the little boy in love with his mother, more painfully jealous than a lover. This jealousy scream and suffer, and threaten every moment. So also has contempt for Gertrude, as object of his desire, and Claudio, like jealousy. In his play, Hamlet is not pushed aside by his stepfather and his mother. On the contrary, the king tries to gain their trust and friendship. Hamlet is alone, isolated and is isolated. Any contact attempt fails and the very existence condemns him to be an outcast. It does not fit with the environment that had touched since it is very stifling for him. It seems to be deluding himself, but is also adept at deceiving others.

The conflict develops from the appearance of the ghost, as there begin their desires to find out if it really is true what the shadow of his father said. At that time begins to feign madness that will be free within the castle and find out things he considers important. However, it is unclear to what extent his madness is fictional, since there is a barrier that separates the "Hamlet crazy" from "Hamlet true". His madness is often mentioned but little observable. This is because in his words played much with words, but behind this game can find a logic to their ideas. Until the murder of Polonius, Hamlet acts apparently reflection and wisdom. Can not decrypt if he's crazy or play with madness. But all becomes clear after the murder, where the protagonist actually acting with a lack of rationality. At that point is where Hamlet demonstrates more clearly than revenge had an idea but not a plan to carry it out, and finds that exceed situations, committing real atrocities.

Hamlet, in itself, embodies the greatest contradiction as having a dual nature: he urges reflection revenge and embarrasses you. It is a being indecisive for their actions, irresolute and helpless to act, yet hesitantly sometimes duty forces him to act, sometimes it stops reflection; hesitates but refuses to take revenge. It can be considered as a consciousness without action. Her dilemma and her paralysis reason is as follows: failure to act becomes an accomplice to a crime, but acting is just becoming a dead server, killing his uncle, no more than a destination fulfill his own and, far from being realized, would be simply a dream instrument paternal. It is a self-centered, seeking authenticity and individuated, so its resistance to the action until you are fully secure and confident. Flee their heroic task because he knows that death begets death, and revenge,
