B. Write a short description of the following characters using the previous adjectives and explain why you match the adjectives to the characters. Use your own words. Do not enumerate adjectives (4-5 lines):

  • Gabriel Oak: He is a humble shepherd does not care about money, good worker. Bathsheba confides his feelings to him.
  • Bathsheba Everdene: is a very strong and independent woman, its beauty causes three men want to be with her.
  • William Boldwood: It is mature man, he is alone and is very rich, is patient to wait for the response of Bathsheba. He It may be selfish because just want to Bathsheba for him  and he ask to gabriel that not courting to bathsheba.
  • Soldier Francis Troy: this character is two-sided because at first he is a cheerful man but strange his life former and  he starts to be proud, has a bad temper and mistreats his wife.
  • Fanny Robin: She is a young woman who has dreams of starting a family with her future husband, but confusion when going to marry brings you a poor and sad life.

C. Answer the following questions:

1. Why does Bathsheba reject Gabriel’s proposal?
