The Mayan ball game

It is very interesting to know about our old cultures, I would like to comment that the Toltecas developed the ball game, in Tula Hidalgo there are a ceremonial place for the ceremonial game, Chichen Itza for example has Tolteca’s influence and of course when Mexicas or Aztecs arrived in first place to Tula they knew about Toltecas then they learned about the culture, arts, gods and the Mexicas introduced the ball game in their life style as the Mayans did too.

I guess the reading has interesting information as how many players or what kind of ball was made of, but the most interesting part of this fantastic ritual is its origin and that part was missing in the reading, for sure this game was just for the bravest and devotional players , I think it was more religious than cruel is very exciting.

What rules will you modify to make this game more popular nowadays?

The first one of course will be the part of the death for who win the game, or maybe I could choose as players all the kidnappers, rapists or murderers maybe in this part is not so religious but it could be fair for the society in our days, the prize for the winner could be jail for the rest of his life but human touch, and for the player who loses the rest of his life in jail without human touch, remaining in silence.

The rule that I could change will be the size of the ring to have a better chance for getting a point and maybe allow some other parts of the body for touching the ball.
