THE SCARLET LETTER
This story is set during the colonial era in United States. The story begins in the city of Boston, where society was very religious. There lived a shepherd named Arthur Dimmesdale; he was highly respected by all the people. In what respects people had a girl named Hester Prynne, she was a seamstress and was very beautiful, but she was married to a very proud man named chillingworth. She had been separated from her husband for a long time, so she thought he was dead.
Arthur and Hester fall in love eventually delivered at each other all hiding their relationship. One day Arthur went to England to some matters, after the people realize that Hester pregnant and weird was that it was not her husband so the people accused Hester of adultery and she is judged for all the town, but nobody gets to say who the father of her baby. Next her baby born in the prison and named Pearls. She is pilloried and her chest marked with the letter A wound that becomes scarlet skin
When Arthur return he didn’t confess de secret of he and Hester. But his conscience chases all the time, more when the husband of Hester return, because he didn’t died and when he return learns everything that happened with Hester and Arthur.
For a long time Chillingworth persecuted to Arthur to feel more guilty. But Hester proposes Arthur to escape from there. He accept but the guilt overcame so he confess the secret and in that moment Arthur died in the arms of Hester.
A pearl all that was inherited from his father Arthur.
