Andrea Bocelli – Vivo por Ella

Andrea Bocelli's story is worthy of admiration. He began taking piano lessons when he was six years, before moving on to the saxophone and flute preparing a career destined for success. But at age 12 he was the victim of an accident and suffered a brain hemorrhage that left him without vision. Thanks to his willpower and his enthusiasm for life went on, with music as the main motivation, as vital reason for his life. Without one of the most important senses of the human body his earing help him find symmetries and harmonies in nature sounds of his native Tuscany. All without leaving aside the traditional academic training, which eventually led him to a degree in law at the University of Pisa. Although it was well known in Italy, it was not until 1992 when he crossed the borders of their country. Bocelli had the opportunity to record the song 'Miserere' with Zucchero in a trial finally destined to culminate the issue with the great tenor Pavarotti trans. It was the springboard for a career that is growing daily.

The song was written by the group O.R.O. (Manzani – Mengalli – Zelli) in 1995 for their album ̏Vivo per˝. During the same year, the lyrics of the song was rewritten by Gatto Panceri and was relaunched thanks to the duet between Andrea Bocelli and Giorgia. The new lyrics are characterized by the fact that "lei" (her) in the title refers to music, whereas the original was a love song for a girl "Vivo por Ella". Romanza was designed to break Andrea Bocelli into the European audience, but also the English-speaking mainstream pop audience

When we listen to the first verse of the song "Vivo por ella" performed by Andrea Bocelli and Marta Sánchez (Spanish version), anyone without having heard it before might think it is a melody with lyrics that refer to a love story of a man in love with a woman "Vivo por ella sin saber si la encontré o me ha encontrado ya no recuerdo cómo fue pero al final me ha conquistado vivo por ella que me da toda mi fuerza de verdad vivo por ella y no me pesa”. Then in the next paragraph it follows that is a song dedicated to mothers "Vivo por ella yo también no te me pongas tan celoso ella entre todas es la más dulce y caliente como un beso ella a mi lado siempre está ara apagar mi soledad más que por mí por ella yo vivo también". The magic of the story is enveloping you in a slight confusion, but when the song nears its end confesses " Vivo por ella porque va dándome siempre la salida porque la música es así fiel y sincera de por vida vivo por ella que me da noches de amor y libertad Si hubiese otra vida, la vivo por ella también Ella se llama música” that the woman that give him life, that hurts him when is missing, and always gave him a way out was music. Andrea Bocelli proves that you do not need your sight to describe the beauty of music and the same strength has helped him deal with life. There's always a melody that makes us happy, one that saddens us. Some we love, the other serves to remind our heartbreak. Musical notes also help us recall the past, to keep us company and music can be the best remedy of the soul.

Music for me is not to see the world through music like Andrea, but it helps me to recall the time I was back home in Venezuela, going to the beach, having our big Christmas parties with all my family, my culture, the food, things that I might not have anymore because I`m miles away, but like Andrea, music helps me deal with my melancholy of being away from home.
