The movie is about games that are filed each year, where the Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games where the tributes must fight until only one survive.

Katniss 16 years-old it is presented voluntary to save her sister Prim, Peeta has also been selected to participate.

But everything changes when Peeta and Katniss are forced to feign love because can get sponsors that could send them food, medicine or other things during the games.

Upon arriving at the arena, the 24 competitors are involved in a struggle for survival where only one will survive.

In this arena are threatened primarily by the tributes of District 1, 2 and 4, who train for these games, but these districts form a group, where is also Peeta.

After the rules changes because they believe it would be a good idea to create a love to entertain the audience, so the rules changes for that two tributes can win but should be the same district. Then Katniss search Peeta, but he is wounded, then Katniss manages to save his life with a medicine that send the sponsors.

In the end, Peeta and Katniss manage to climb the Cornucopia, but Cato wants to kill Peeta, but manage for throw down. Katniss and Peeta believe that ends the games, but they warn that only one of them would survive; then Katniss and Peeta decide to eat some poisonous berries, but the end decide that both win.
