Doubt

The film "Doubt" is about a particular case of pedophilia that occurs in white an elementary school of white color. A priest, a rector at the school, starts paying too much attention to a black child, as a result creating a result of this a number of problems that unleash the plot involving social reality of the time as well as today. An intense moral struggle begins because of difference between Sister Aloysius and Sister James. Their differences have to do with their personality, relation with Father Flynn and behavior.

On the one hand in the management of "doubt" Sister Aloysius begins to treat students with confidence, warmth and humility. This distrust is what drives Sister Aloysius to suspect that Father Flynn is being exceeded with a student. She is certain that she was correct about who and what Flynn is. Her doubts are regarding her faith and that is the price paid in the pursuit of righting this wrong, and the subsequent promotion of Flynn, has made her doubt in her faith and her Church while she was reprimanded. On the other hand, Sister James observes the strange behavior of the father towards a student who works for him as an altar boy. She definitely has the doubt about the priest, but, in turn, she thinks that she cannot be certain what that might happen with the mother and the child.

She does not even tolerate the use of pens because it was considered immoral, and also did not allow a single flower to decorate the hair of female students. In contrast, Sister James takes care of children, for access to culture and to improve society. She is a teacher who knows the student deserves respect and much affection.

Taking about personality, Sister Aloysius´ is a severe woman, fearing all the guys, and even the nuns, translated in a strict orthodoxy. She is the director who controls everything but with a firm hand. Conversely, Sister James is a sweet, innocent woman and, maybe, a little naïve. She is a fresher nun, she knows she is young and inexperienced and she wanted something closer to the students.

In conclusion “Doubt” is an excellent film production, with an excellent script that reflects an overwhelming problem for society. Actually there are many details in the movie that make you think that he was guilty, then the conversation between them where admits to something there but never a clear certainty whether he was guilty or not. The game of the movie is of constantly playing with the ambiguity and not being clear or precise about what really happened. Moreover, this gives us
