Business processes, information systems and information
Q2-1 Why does the falcon security team need to understand business processes?
Because without business processes, communication within a company becomes obsolete, strategies can be lost and the business will be more exposed to errors, delays, failures and waste due to not managing joint information, giving way to misinformation and each person performs different tasks without being well focused on the same objective.
To summarize, a business process is a network of activities. Each activity is performed by a role. Roles are taken by people, groups, departments, organizations, and sometimes information systems. Repositories are collections of data. Data flows between activities; when one activity follows directly after another, the flow is shown with a sequence flow. Complex activities are represented by a separate subprocess diagram and denoted by a boxed plus sign in the activity.
Q2-2 How can business process modeling help organizations?
The business model helps companies see more clearly how different processes and tasks are carried out. It helps to establish faults at the time of execution and determine if there are things that should be changed to have better performance, in addition to taking into account what the implications and disadvantages of said changes would be.
Q2-3 How can information systems improve process quality?
Information systems synthesize much of the information, making it more organized, classified, distributed as appropriate and shared in a timely manner, giving more opportunities to be more efficient and make faster decisions. That is, information systems transform data and turn it into useful information for companies, allowing them to increase their productivity and efficiency.
Q2-4 What is information?
Information is previously processed, analyzed and organized data that provides new knowledge about something in particular, giving it meaning in context.

-Accurate: Good information is conceived from accurate, correct, and complete data that has been processed correctly as expected. Accuracy is crucial; business professionals must be able to rely on the results of their information systems
-Timely: Good information requires that data be timely—available in time for its intended use.
-Relevant: Data should be relevant both to the context and to the subject.
