Marketing Objectives and Strategy
Objectives:
1. Provide information about our products and services to our customers.
2. Develop a strong brand with name recognition and loyalty.
3. Increase yearly sales by 5%.
Strategy:
Become the resource of choice for local bicycle users (all ages) with a good performance in the following areas: product selection, product quality, and customer service.
Product Strategy
Cyclorama will sell 5 types of high quality and high performance bicycles…
- Mountain bikes: with front or full suspension
- Road bikes
- Comfort bikes: toward the recreational user
- Hybrid bikes: which is a mix between on and off road bikes
- Youth bikes: which are bikes for kids
…and will carry 5 brands of bikes: TREK (32%) SPECIALIZED (22%) GIANT, RALEIGH AMERICA and HARO bikes. All of them are top sellers in that market but only with TREK and SPECIALIZED combined, capture more than half of that market share with a 32% and a 22% respectively.
On the other hand, Cyclorama will offer a lot of accessories as helmets, locks, clothing, shoes, racks, cycle computers, tires, tubes, wheels and other stuff. In addition they will provide and excellent and personalized customer service as proper bike fittings, instruction on safety, proper use of the bike and repairs.
Price Strategy
The price strategy that cyclorama wants to implements it’s based on offering high value to our customers.
And have an open range of prices because wants to be the retailer of choice for bycicle professionals and enthusiast (which the range of price goes through 600$ - 1200$) and at the same time wants appeal the cost-efficient buyers (which the range of price goes through 150$ - 600$).
Place Strategy
Retail Store main Street of Abbotville where all the products will be distributed and all the repairs and services will be provided.
