Ethical Trading Practice
• Ethical trade means different things to different people. In particular, some people refer to “ethical trade” as an umbrella term for all types of business practices that promote more socially and/or environmentally responsible trade. Others use the term in a much narrower sense, referring specifically to the labor practices in a company’s supply chain.
Examples of companies
Pascual Group has a processing plant orange juice in a town of Cordoba. The factory is supplied from oranges of the town, with whose planters maintained stable and lasting agreements. With frost a few weeks ago, the amount of fruit dropped sharply, and the forecasts of the company were in danger. However, far from giving back to the people in which it is implanted, Pascual chose to go for it and hope to collect all the fruit I could (with the cost of this supposed him) instead of importing from abroad. His argument was that it was aware of the importance that the company had for the town, and the damage it would cause among farmers act that way.
Model Group is committed to equality and plurality among employees. Wages are defined taking into account labor market conditions and the different positions, adhering at all times to the rules and labor laws without distinction of gender.
