Exporting Malta India to the United States

Malta, also known as young beer, children’s beer or wheat soda, is a type of soft drink. It is a carbonated malt beverage. It is brewed from barley, hops and water, just like beer. Corn and caramel color may also be added. The main difference is that malta is non-alcoholic and is consumed the same way as soda or cola in its carbonated form and as iced tea in non–carbonated form. Actually, malta is a beer that has not been fermented. Its color is similar to stout but is sweeter, tasting as molasses. It is usually drunk cold but if necessary ice can be added. Malta is very popular with Latin Americans, who sometimes mix it with condensed or evaporated milk.

Most malta is brewed in the Caribbean and several parts of Europe. Malta originated in Germany. Because of its distinctive color, malta is sometimes known as black brewed beer.

In Puerto Rico, Compañía Cervecera de Puerto Rico is the premier brewing company and a market leader in the non-alcoholic beverage industry. Quality and craftsmanship are the main goals for their beer and malta. This initiative puts Malta India as the market leader and Malta India Light as market front-runner, which are successfully exported and available in the United States. Malta India has been the market leader for seven decades, since its introduction on May of 1939.
