Introduction

According to our book, “ Total Quantity management refers to constantly improving the quality of products and the firm’s processes so as to consistently deliver increasing value to customer” also, the most important question that a TQM frequently ask “ How can we do this cheaper, faster, or better?” (Salvatore, 2015)

TQM is known as a revolutionary new philosophy that improves the way of doing business in an innovative new administration model. It applies to every department or person in the company. It includes; customer service, sales, marketing and finance. Also, increases the quality of the employees and the customers. Furthermore, one of the most important advantages of this new program is; increased the quality of their products, reduced costs, and increased their competitiveness. (Salvatore, 2015)

For this case, I am going to talk about four important industries who are using this program. They are; Johnson & Johnson, Motorola, General Electric, and Ford. In these four companies the system is completely different, and also their CEO and managers. For that reason, it is important to describe a little bit more about how the managers or CEO of each company make these industries into the four of the best industries around the world.

First, there is Johnson & Johnson, it is an industry with strategic principles and unmarkable values. Their main focus is health care and an organization that works for long term goals. Also, this company is characterized by its decentralized organization and management, and for its great interest and focus on the best development of its employees and clients. Johnson and Johnson believe and give credit for their success to a stable methodology to manage their industry over more than 60 years ago. (Johnson & Johnson Family, 2015)

Second, there is Motorola. Motorola is a global company with an overwhelming history of good management, quality in your service and innovation with your products. They are one of the companies who use TQM. It is easy to notice for the improvement of their products and productivity. Also, they work with a policy higher quality in lower cost, with essential customer satisfaction. Additionally, they work on a regulated time delivery, and consistent support for all you missions and professional applications. They are always trying their best for a better culture of innovations to meet customer highest expectations. According to their web page, “Motorola saved $17 billion from 1986 to 2004, reflecting hundreds of individual successes in all Motorola business areas” (Motorola, 2015)

Third, General Electric, different than the other companies, this company work with a large numbers of volunteers. It is part of their culture, and it is something that motivate and allow them to have a closer view of their consumers. They like to keep a close eye on all
