What possibilities exist for dialogue between Jews and Christians today?

Christianity was born from the bosom of Judaism for almost

two thousand years, followed very soon his way peculiar,

Judaism while continuing his own path. They share many common characteristics. But there are also many differences, which the most important is the character of Jesus the Messiah promised in the Bible according to Christianity. For centuries there have been between one and another stormy relationships, discussions and mutual accusations.

Judaism is one of the world's oldest religions, dating back to 2000 BC from the time God called Abraham to leave home and follow the path designated by God.

In Judaism the sacred writings are called the Torah, and these are represented in a roll of parchment and read in the synagogue. This consists of the five books of Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) these are the cornerstone of religion and Jewish law. God delivered the Torah to Moses on Mount Sinai.

The Jews did not practice any missionary activity are: to be Jewish is to belong to the people of Israel, being born of a Jewish mother, the conversion and incorporation of heart the fate of the people.

There are five main forms or sects of Judaism in the world today. They are Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist and Humanistic.

There are 613 commandments in the Torah to obey, in addition to the 10 Commandments are the best known.

God is your only and last king, must agree to obey its laws. And as a reward, God will recognize Israel as his people.

For Jews the Messiah come in the future and the Jews will gather again in the land of Israel. There will be a general resurrection of the dead at that time. Jerusalem Temple, destroyed in 70 AD by the Romans, will be rebuilt.
