Actividad de Metacognición
In this activity you will perform a role play to show tha competences you have developed and the vocabulary and linguistic structures you have learned in this stage.
1. Work in teams.
2. Brainstorm about the celebrations you know or you would like to know about.
3. Choose one celebration you would like to act out.
4. Look for information about the celebration.
5. Make a dialogue that includes information about the celebration, relative pronouns, tag questions and vocabulary related to this stage four.
6. Your teacher will decide on the length and duration of the dialogue.
7. Ask your teacher to check the dialogue.
8. Study your dialogue and practice tour presentation.
9. Make a list og the things you would like to bring for your performance such as props/ costumes and other items approved by your teacher.
10. Check the rubric in Appendix 4 to know the evaluation guideline.
11. Present your role play to the group
: Hi Selene!
: Hi Max, how are you?
: I’m fine, how's it going?
: My friend Rubi, who works for a travel magazine, is going to Ireland next week.
: Wow, She will enjoy the travel!
: Hey; do you know the history about St. Patrick days?
: I don’t know the history but it is celebrated on March 17, isn’t it?
: Of course, commemorates the death of St. Patrick.
: Wow is very interesting but who is St. Patrick?
: St. Patrick who was known as the saint patron of Ireland was a Christian missionary
: they celebrate the commemoration of the arrival of Christianity to Ireland, didn’t they?
: Obviously but others persons with different religion celebrates St. Patrick
: It is celebrated with green, isn’t it?
: Yep because is represented Ireland.
: Is celebrated only in Ireland?
: No, St. Patrick is celebrated in around of the world
: Why?
: Because the influence Irish is very popular
: Only the Irish celebrated St. Patrick?
: No, even people who haven’t Irish ancestry.
: How is it celebrated?
: The people attending parades and wear clothings green
: They usually use cloves, didn’t they?
: Yes, is a typical tradition in St. Patrick
