It is necessary for every student to find a perfect place to study. A place where he/she feel comfortable, in harmony with the environment. I find this place in Victor M. Pons Library.
The library has two clear electric doors with black borders. Immediately you enter you can see the orange floor and feel the cold air. Then, you find one crystal stand at the left and one at the right side. Inside it, students and other personal put commemorative material like Governmental Elections. When you continue your way, you can see two gray structures, it's the metal detector. At the left you find a huge desk with a silver computer where the secretary help you to find a book and a green computer chair. Near by it, there a silver scanner for books.
When you leave the lobby, you go down stairs and at the right side, there are the Family room. To the left, you find a hallway and a blue elevator. At the right, you find the stairs. Beyond, at the right side, there are a study table and two silver computers. Next to it there are the encyclopedia area, where you can ask for it. To the other side, there are many desks for students to study or to use the computer and clear windows through the sun rays enter in the afternoon. Beyond, you find a computer lab, a small space where you can use the Internet or to do university works.
In the fourth floor, when you go up stairs, you find the Puerto Rican Collection Room. When you enter, you see a desk to ask for a book. To the right, you find a lot of desks and tables for study in a silent environment. The temperature is perfect. To the left, there are orange stacks fulled of books related to Puerto Rico. When you leave this room, on the left side, you find the elevator and next to it, the bathroom. When you continue you way, there are hallway and there are three rooms: Luisa Capetillo, Student Support Center and the “music room”. Luisa Capetillo is the coldest room in the whole library with only 3 tables, two computers, a few stacks of books, and a sephia mural of women working in an industry. Student Support Center is a medium room with four rooms for tutors and students. “Music room” is the area where the students can watch movies/documentary assigned by professors.
Victor M. Pons Library has a perfect area for study mode. It has a great environment where you can find the comfort necessary for read, do homeworks, etc.
