Introduction
When he makes an organ transplant, doctors remove an organ from another person and place in your body.
People who need an organ transplant often have to wait for the body for a long time. Doctors need to match donors with recipients to reduce the risk of transplant rejection. This occurs when the recipient's body opposes new body, causing malfunction. People who underwent a transplant must take medication for the rest of their lives to help prevent their bodies from rejecting the new organ.
Development
The last Wednesday was published in the Official Gazette the regulations of the General Health Law in Matter of Transplantation.
In this is detailed the procedure for the disposition of organs, tissues and cells is detailed , with the exception of blood, blood components and progenitor cells to be carried out for the transplant.
It promotes recognition to donors and their families; there are new rules for the transportation and packaging of organs, tissues and cells.
There will also be a national transplant registry; it advises that items can only be transplanted to patients enrolled in this list, at least 48 hours prior to the certification of the loss of life of the donor. There may be excepted from the above cases of "urgency”. It also regulates national subsystem of donation.
In no case may dispose of these elements, against the will of the donor. This step, in the whole of a single body, essential for the preservation of life (as well as the eyes and corneal tissue) , may only be made after of be declared loss life of the donor
In the text, effective tomorrow, the hospital structure and functions of each element should stick to what makes the regulations required, indicating the steps to follow when the donor has died.
There is a chapter on internal coordination committees for the donation and transplantation and the distribution of benefits.
Conclusion
To me this law is very good as it helps to regulate organ transplants and thus also have a control to perform them.
This also helps patients receiving an organ, may have good health after transplantation.
This law benefits many patients requiring transplants and so they will be able to continue with their lives as normal people.
