THEO ADVENTURE CAPITALIST
The documentary is about three companies that want to enter the economy of Brazil. The participating companies are: Cadbury, Sleek Make up and Dreamaid.
The first company to make an appearance in the program is Cadbury, which specializes in chocolate. Their ambition is to enter in Brazil because the chocolate area is one of the fastest growing worldwide. Cadbury's main concern is competition existence in Brazil: Nestle and Kraft, competitors have a market share of 90%, even lower than Toblerone and Kit-Kat.
The next company was Sleek Make up, an elegant London firm specializing in cosmetics for women with dark skin. Sleek Make up wanted to take the Brazilian market due to ethnicity and average income, Brazil is the third country in makeup, so they hoped to obtain success.
The third and last company was Dreamaid, which is a technology company aimed at helping the poorest performers in the world and resell their music to people with more income. Dreamaid enter Brazil wanted to make this area as a 'testing ground' '. The financial study indicates that Dreamaid has spent on average $ 60,000 today, but gives planning to spend even more, about $ 600,000 in three years.
However, the figures were not very satisfactory for Dreamaid in Brazil, as their accounts showed very large numbers; the investment was being outweighed by the costs, because in the end only got a small gain of 100 pounds, obviously representing a loss to the business.
In conclusion, none of the three companies could enter the market in Brazil because issues like the great competition; lack of business information and uncertainty visiting a new country, in addition, low income that would result in a large investment were the main drivers of the three companies respectively to decline to enter this new country.
