What is your favorite TV program? Why do you like this program so much?

Is Otro Rollo! Maybe you remember this phrase it was the announcement of one of the best tv shows that has ever been on the Mexican television. This tv show was on air for twelve years and it was broadcasted all Tuesdays at night. It was led by the comedian Adal Ramones along with his team. A lot of things made this program so successful, but I believe that they were three segments that they made this show unforgettable. The monologue, the sketch and the special guest section.

The monologue consisted on a humorous speech about one particular topic. It was all about making fun of something were most part of the Mexicans felt identified with. On the first years of the program the monologue lasted about 20 to 30 minutes. Later, when they changed to a bigger tv company, it started to last around 50 minutes uninterrupted.

The sketch segment was a segment where they passed a funny video that Adal Ramones and his team had done with a specific topic. It lasted about 5 to 10 minutes. They sometimes also invited a celebrity to be on the video with them. It was hilarious to watch your favorite celebrity playing a funny role.

The last but not less important segment of the show was the special guest section. As the name says, it was about inviting a celebrity with national or international prestige. The main idea was to have a humorous and informal conversation and most of the times doing funny and uncommon activities.

There were other segments of the show, but I believe that these three were the ones that made Otro Rollo an unique tv show. I grew up watching this show and I dare to say that it was and it will be the best tv show ever of the Mexican television, and I know that a lot of people will agreed with me.
