FINAL PROJECT

The following lesson plan will be used in the second unit.

Unit 2 Family and friends

2.1 Family members

2.2 Physical description and personality of family members and friends.

2.3 Professions and occupations of family members and friends.

2.4 Family members and friends’ abilities

2.1 FAMILY MEMBERS

Functional Objective: asking and giving information about family members

Grammar Objective: possessive adjectives

Warm- up: teacher will start talking about brothers and sisters. He will ask students if they have brothers or sisters. The number of the family members , and so on. Later, teacher will show a famous person and her / his family tree

Vocabulary: Teacher will present three different flash cards with photographs where students will be able to see :

a) A dad, a mum and children of one of the teachers at school

b) Grand parents, aunts and uncles

c) Aunts and uncles with their own families

Teacher will ask students to call each category of the family memebers and the extended family.

Teacher will make sure that he has all students choral and have correct pronunciation.

Presentation: Here teacher will say the focus question: Who is your brother or sister?, before she presents a video were students can see different examples of possessive adjectives related to family members.

Later teacher will explain the grammar point related it with the vocabulary.

For example: Is she your sister? No, she isn’t.

Who is she? She is my cousin.

Activities.- For each activity teacher will give clear , short and specific information for answering.

1.- students will draw her /his family tree, writing the relationship.

2.- students will explain her/his own family tree to a partner.

Homework.- Students will interview three classmates and with the information they will make the family tree for each one . This information will be reported the following class.
