Gay marriage legalization.

I believe that gay marriage should be legalized because I believe that marriage is something between two adults who love each other, no matter what their genders are. What I was taught, was that marriage is about love, not gender.

So I stand here today with a request. I want gay marriage to be legalized all around the world because I believe that people should have the chance to marry whoever they want, and I know that I’m not the only one that thinks this. But for the ones who are not convinced that gay marriage should be legal, I am here to talk to you.

You, all the ones who think that gay marriage is a horrendous thing, something that shall never happen or even thought about, I think you are wrong.

Who was the one who told you that marriage must be between to people with different gender? Who was the one who told you that two people from the same gender shall NEVER get married?

Who made you believe that two people with the same gender should never be happy?

Everyone in this world deserves a chance to be happy, to get married, have children, to grow old with somebody, and gays and lesbians in some places don’t have this chance, they are forbidden to have a future with somebody, they are forbidden to show his or her love for somebody because it is illegal.

This people see their families get married and get divorced, having children and having grandchildren, and they don’t even get a chance to get married, not even once.

Gays and lesbians are humans, too. They may think differently, feel differently but that doesn’t make them monsters or maniacs, therefore they should have the same rights as every other person on planet earth.

Imagine being forbidden to wear jeans because you are too tall. Imagine seeing every short person wearing jeans and knowing that you will never use jeans because you are tall. Being tall is something you can’t control, just as being gay or lesbian. They didn’t choose to be that way; they were just born that way. Imagine being forbidden to do something because you were born different, will you be happy? Will you stay quiet?

Who are we to decide the future of those people that have no relation with us? Who gave us the power to decide who should marry who? Who gave us the power to illegalize gay marriage?

Every person in this world should have the right to marry whoever they want, and we should not decide for them.

I support gay marriage, and you?
