PAST TENSE
Se usa el Past Tense para indicar una situación o una acción que empezó y terminó en el pasado. Con este tiempo se usan las palabras siguientes al principio o al final de la frase.

Five minutes ago

Entonces

La semana pasada

Hace cinco minutos (u otro periodo de tiempo)
Después de eso
La forma del verbo “be” en el pasado son “was” para tercera persona (he, she, it) y “were” para (I, you, we, they).
Con la excepción del verbo To Be, la forma del verbo en el Past tense es la misma para todos los sujetos.
Para una declaración positiva, use el sujeto + Verbo Past Tense.
Para una pregunta, declaración negativa o respuesta corta, use did + Verbo Básico.
Declaracion:
I/You/He/She/It/We/They worked.
Pregunta:
Did I/You/He/She/It/We/They work?
Respuesta corta:
Yes, I/You/He/She/It/We/They did
Negativo:
I/You/He/She/It/We/They did not work
Para formar el Past Tense de los verbos regulares, añada ED al verbo básico, o D a un verbo que termine con E.
Cuando el verbo básico termine en “y” después de un consonante, elimine la “y” y añade “ied”.
Muchos verbos tienen formas irregulares en el Past tense.
