Unit 3

Lesson A

The typical dish in Saudi Arabia is the Kabsa, kebabs, falafel, and shikamba.

 The Kabsa is made mostly with rice and a mixture of species; this is served with lamb and chicken. The Kabsa is cooked with wood charcoal in Saudi Arabia.

 The Kebabs are spikes originating in the Middle East; these are made of roast beef. The Kebabs are served on plates, in sandwiches, or in bowls.

 The falafel is eaten for the young people in the Saudi Arabia, this is made with chickpeas or beans, and the falafel is eaten cold because they say it's healthy.

 The Shikamba is cooked into a creamy soup lamb meatballs, It isn’t eaten cold.

Lesson B

In Saudí Arabia:

 It’s acceptable to marry for the men at any age, but it’s inacceptable for women, because she have to get married before 17 years old.

 It’s appropriate for a man to have four wives

 It’s impolite not to smell the food first important dinners.

 It’s inappropriate for women to go to the beach in bathing suits Western-style.

 It’s impolite to have a drink with your left hand, it is considered an offense.

Lesson C

Saudi Arabia is a country with a very notorious religious culture, certainly this country is really beautiful, but to be honest I think that women having not rights is abused by men, to tell you the truth Eastern culture is very old fashioned in comparison with Western culture, I definitely never will live in Saudi Arabia.

Lesson D

The proverbs:

They are “The patient is the key to the solution” and “The men are enemy of the ignorance”.

• The first one probably means that a person acts with calm can solve the problems with ease in the life.

• The second one is about that the people that aren’t ready to learn new things are cought in the ignorance.

These proverbs are used when the people want reflect on events that ocurring in their lifes.

Unit 4

Lesson A

• You are supposed to enter Saudi Arabia should have the visa and passport.

• You are supposed to travel Saudí Arabia should have to be vaccinated to prevent disease.

• You are supposed to know Saudí Arabia should change the money for the “Riar”

Lesson B

We think that the most Difficult to get over in Saudi Arabia is against culture, especially the dominant position that men have over women, to get used to not being free, would be a horror film for a western woman.

I believe that Eastern thought is very difficult to change, people learned to live in this way, they are happy with their culture so as we are with ours.
