REALITY SHOW A DECEPTION FOR ECUADORIAN CHILDREN AND YOUTH.
Nowadays, I turn on the television and find reality show programs, this series of programs insidiously affects youth, and does not provide anything productive for society, in Ecuador there are already some of these programs, which talk about controversy, infidelity and scandal. In my opinion reality shows negatively influence Ecuadorian children and youth.
Firstly, this is not surprising, because this type of television show has become incredibly popular in recent decades. Such shows are entertaining and addictive to watch, since they do not focus on fictional characters, but on real people who find themselves in different contexts and situations and talk about their love lives.
Secondly, the idea of reality is lost, since everything that the competitors of our favorite programs teach us is a dramatized reality and they also incite minors with violent, discriminatory and racist messages, they continue to be considered as the best.
Thirdly, I believe that children adopt these aggressive behaviors, materialistic thoughts and stereotypes that cause damage to mental and physical health because in the case of teenagers they want to have the perfect body like the woman who is on television.
Finally, I think that these types of programs should disapear from television, and parents should be more careful with the programs that children see so they do not allow themselves to be influenced and cause damage to their psychological and physical well-being.
To conclude, I think that all of these reality show programs simply make life see in an easy way, full of superficialities, which damage our psychological, emotional, and most importantly our physical integrity, and remember that not everything shining is gold, and that we can not become what we are not just to continue with a fashion or trend that we see on television.
