what is forecasting?
To know every day the number of rooms we have available for sell, for the next 10 days
Out of order : Rooms kept under out of order are not sellable and these rooms are deducted from the hotels inventory. A room may be out-of-order for a variety of reasons, including the need of maintenance, refurbishing and extensive cleaning etc
Stayovers : Remain overnight, as in We hadn't planned to stay over but the bad weather changed our plans
Understays: Hotel guest who checks out before the scheduled date
No show: Traveler who fails to show up for a reserved room without notifying the hotel of the cancellation. He or she is usually charged for one night's room charges
Over stay: People change the reservation in the system (internet, telephone, but NOT in the hotel)
Service Profit Chain: Employee –service—Guest –profit revenue—owners ==== HAPPY (Cuadritos)
