Humans have always us related groups: family, occupational, emotional, etc. In a socialnetwork individuals are interconnected, interact and may have more than one type ofrelationship between them.
Currently, the analysis of social networks has become a method of study in sciencessuch as anthropology or sociology. Internet and new technologies facilitate thedevelopment and expansion of social networks.
Social networking on the internet
Social networks on the internet are web applications that facilitate contact betweenindividuals. These people may be previously known or do so through the network.Contact through the network may lead to a knowledge direct or, indeed, theformation of new couples.
Social networks on the internet are based on the links between its users. There areseveral types of social networks:
1. Generic social networks. They are the most numerous and well known. The mostwidespread in Spain are Facebook, Instagram, Google + and Twitter.
2. professional social networking. Its members are occupationally related. It can serveto connect colleagues or looking for a job. The best known are LinkedIn, Xing andViadeo.
3. thematic or vertical social networks. They are based on a specific subject. They canrelate to people with the same hobby, the same activity or the same role. The mostfamous are Flickr, Pinterest, and YouTube.

Wattpad is an online community around issues of writing and storytelling. Users canpost articles, stories and poems about anything, either online or through the Wattpadapp. The content includes works by authors unknown and published. Users cancomment and can vote on the stories or joining groups associated with the web site. About five of every ten Internet users are U.S. based, traffic also comes from the United Kingdom, Canada, Philippines, Australia, and more.

Instagram is a social network for sharing photos and videos. It helps users apply photoeffects like filters, frames, retro colors and vintage, and later share photos on differentsocial networks such as Facebook, Tumblr, Flickr and Twitter. A distinctive feature ofthe app is that it gives a square shape photographs in honor of the Kodak Instamaticand Polaroid cameras, contrasting with the aspect ratio 16:9 which currently used bymost mobile phone cameras.
