William Shakespeare a playwright, poet and English actor.

William Shakespeare born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England in April of 1564, his actual date of birth is unknown, because at this time was only considered the day of the baptism, April 26 in this case, so is assumed he born days before as was the common. There’s not a lot of information about his childhood and adolescence, just that he probably studied in the local primary school, the Stratford grammar school, in the center of his hometown. He has to drop out of school to help economically to his family after the failure in his father’s business.

In 1582, at the age of 18, he married with Anne Hathaway, daughter of a farmer. With her he had three children: A girl called Susana and the twins, son Hamnet and daughter Judith. In 1588 he moved to London with his family with the intention to become an actor and writer. He joined the theater group ‘’the chamberlain’s men’’ with those who acted in the theater ‘’the globe theater’’ and ‘’Blackfrias.’’

After a while, he starts his literary career, which was divided into four stages: the first is from 1590 to 1594, is formed by historical pieces, which have a high degree of formality and often resulted alittle predictable. His first works were four dramas Henry VI part 1, 2 and 3 (1590-1592) and Richard III (1593). Also some comedies like, the comedy of errors (1592), The Taming of the Shrew (1593) and Love’s labour’s lost (1594).

The second one, until 1600 was characterized by deepening the historical profile of the characters , the most important works were, a midsummer night's dream (1594-95), The merchant of Venice (1596-97), Much ado about nothing (1599) and The merry wives of Windsor (1600) and the most well-known Romeo and Juliet (1595)

In the third stage, which ends in 1608, the tragedies and the most complex works appear, as Julius Caesar (1600), Hamlet (1601), Othello (1602), Macbeth, (1605); The king Lear (1605) and Antonio and Cleopatra (1606), as you like it (1600) Twelfth Night (1600) All’s well that ends well (1602) and Measure for measure (1604).

In the last stage, from 1608, Shakespeare changed and entered the genre of the tragicomedy. These works were Pericles prince of tyre, Coriolano and Timon of Athens, all written in 1608, Cimbelino (1610) and winter’s tale (1610), the main characters support also big sufferings, though ultimately they obtain the happiness.
