A state is a political unit that has sovereignty over a territory or an area and people in it.
Sovereignty is the legitimate and ultimate authority over a political unit
The IGO’s or intergovernmental organizations are established by states usually through a treaty. One example of an IGO’s is the United Nations. Are organizations of private citizens joined together to work toward common goals; they include professional associations, foundations, multinational corporations, or internationally active groups in different states.
