Capone was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of Gabrielle and Teresina Capone, Italian immigrants from the Southwest. His father, Gabriele, was a humble Barber from Italian of Castellammare di Stabia, a town located 24 km from the South of Naples, and his mother, Teresina Raiola, was a seamstress, daughter of Angelo Raiola (from Angri, a town in the province of Salerno, to the southwest of Italy). Both would have nine children.
Al Capone he would abandon studies of fifth-graders at the school at the age of fourteen years, then go to work in different places, like a candy store located in a bowling alley in Brooklyn as a dependent. During that season, Capone would know to the gangster Johnny Torrio, and the young man would be influenced by him to such an extent that Torrio was to become his mentor. Johnny Torrio introduced the young Capone in different youth gangs of robbers as "The Junior Forty Thieves", "Five Points Junior" or the famous "Five Points Gang", the most dangerous youth band at that time. Here begin the criminal career of Capone.
Shortly thereafter, would become the mobster Frankie Yale, who entrusted to Capone's bodyguard tasks such as extortion to different business owners that will yield a part of its profits. At that time it would be born as a waiter and bodyguards in a nightclub of their Chief called "Yale´s". One night, Capone got drunk at this club, and insulted one of the girls who worked there, causing a fight between Capone and the brother of the girl, Frank Gallucio. Before the removal of Torrio in 1925, Capone finally took command.
