Don Felix was a ruthless man and inhuman. He didn't know what was appreciate human life and help others.

The story took place in a sailboat named Fire, on their way to Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.

3. What happened to the ship, Fuego?

The boat suddenly stopped in the middle of the ocean because of the lack of wind.

4. Why were the provisions restricted on board the ship?

They were restricted since they had very little food.

5. What was the young woman´s predicament?

Because she was malnourished could not produce milk for her hungry newborn baby, who cried more and more insistently.

6. Did Don Felix feed the child? Why or why not?

He didn't fed the child. He doesn’t fed because they had little food and did not want to waste it on her.

7. Why was the little girl driving Don Felix crazy?

Don Felix was going crazy because she cried insistently.

8. What did Don Felix finally do?

He threw her into the ocean.

9. What finally happened to Don Felix?

Years later he died of starvation because he suffered cancer of esophagus.

10. What do you think about Don Felix´s action? Do you feel he was punished? Why?

I think what he did was wrong and that is why he was punished. I think it was a punishment because he died of starvation, punishment for not giving food to the girl and her mother.
