What does this company represent to you? What are your impressions?
It is clearly stated in your organizational goals that you intend to become the enterprise that will become a stepping stone in the transportation of the future, and I have an uncommon desire to become a part of that.
Why do you have interest in working for Bombardier?
I have a master´s degree in aeronautical engineering. I´ve had interest in airliner design and functioning ever since I was a child and I´m glad that an opportunity for me to work closer in the manufacturing of such products has emerged.
How long have you worked in a managerial position? Why do you think this position suits you?
I´ve worked in production lines of other companies as supervisor, and I consider this job as a chance to exploit my knowledge and experience in much more trascendent issues.
How would you describe yourself? (mention Soft skills)
If I were to interview the people who have reported to you in the past, how would they describe your management style?
They´d probably say I approach a join management style due to the fact that I like to take into account the opinions of operators to have a more profound point of view on what methods I should implement. Still, bottom-line operators would probably say I have a top-down, rather repressive methodology.
What is your biggest flaw?
As a manager, one of your jobs is to provide direction and leadership for a work unit. Describe how you have accomplished this in the past.
It once occured in a production plant I was working in, that the CEO of the company was going to visit the plant I was in charge of along with other establishments. Workers were asked to work on a weekend to tidy up the workplace and many refused. Threatening isn´t my style, so I told them I wasn`t going to supervise production that day. I helped them clean up and organize and invited each a taco and a soda afterwards for their cooperation with the company as a reward for their extra effort and even got to know them much better. The company even gladly paid my expenses for the food I bought for the workers.
How do you personally define success?
For me, success is going to sleep everyday knowing you made your best effort in whatever task you had to realize and yet be conscipus on how doing it will make you an overall better person over tim
Why are you the best person for this position?
Don’t be afraid to stroke your own ego here. Don’t say anything self deprecating. Focus on this position in this company. Why shouldn’t they hire someone else?
A: I’m the best for this position here because I’ve been following this company’s progress for years. Any time there was a new release or you were mentioned in the news, I was all over it. I already know the infrastructure and history of this place like the back of my hand. Not only was my latest project focused specifically on the new language developed here, but I’ve been implementing it in my own personal work since its release six months ago. I can see being here for a very long time if the company continues in the direction it’s going.
