APPLICATION ACTIVITY
NAME: INGRID DESSIRE BALLEZA GAHETA
GRUPO: 434
MATRICULA:1847730
TEACHER: Luis Héctor Ramírez
Introduction:
A common method that is used to determine the pH of solutions is by using acid-base indicators. These indicators are dyes that change color according to the pH of the system.
Each indicator takes on a color in acidic solution and a different color in basic solution.
In this activity you will produce an acid-base indicator which will be used for identifying acids or bases in some common use substances, to verify experimentally the theoretical concepts about some common use substances nature.
Materials and reactants:
- Heating grill or burner
- Beaker of 200 ml
- Beaker tongs
- Agitator
- Distilled wáter
- Microplate
- Hydrion paper
- Four red cabagge leaves
- Liquid household cleaner
- Milk
- Lemonade
- Vinegar
- Milk of magnesia

Conclusion:
The acids has a pH from 0 to 6.9 the neutral is 7 and the bases are from 7.1 to 14, example the vinegar is an acid and the milk of magnesia is a base. In this experiment we learnt what the substances are and what is its pH.
