Gold- Au

For this case I am going to use the element ¨gold¨ which its atomic symbol is ¨Au¨. Its atomic number is seventy-nine. The atomic mass of gold is 197.0. The point is that I am going to explain how was it discovered and what it is used for. There is not a specific name for people that can get credit of discover the gold. But there was a little boy, thousands of years before, playing near a stream and he saw a small rock shining with color yellow. So from that day, the scientific started to make investigations of it. The gold was found for first time as yellow shiny rocks. This element is part of the metals, and gold was the first metal known. As gold is very beautiful the old civilizations began to use it as trimmings, and also as a material to work on. Because they liked so much, they built some portraits of themselves in gold tablets. The Incas were good workers in gold. We can find the gold in many places, like for example here in Honduras there are places where gold exists. But this country does not have the enough machines to process gold.

The gold is very useful in these times that we are living. There are many ways where we can find gold. For example they used to make coins, so it can have a greater value. Also for valuable ornaments, for wristwatches, and for trophies and medals. Some people can also use it to pay debts because each gram of gold has a certain value of money.
