GREENHOUSE EFFECT

The greenhouse effect is a natural process that involves some gases that are contained in the planet's atmosphere, they retain some of the energy or heat the Earth's surface emits after being warmed by the sun, this process affects all bodies made of rock or planets that have an atmosphere.

It's basically when the energy received by the planet, can not go back through the atmosphere, causing an effect similar to what happens in a greenhouse, only large scale.

Besides Earth in our solar system there are two other planets with the greenhouse effect: Venus and Mars, so we're not alone.

This natural greenhouse effect, makes possible life as we know it. However, this natural effect has been intensified because of human activities, primarily for the production of greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, methane, ozone) which are being increased by the burning of fossil fuels, and clearance is being hampered due to deforestation. And it is this fact, which has been accumulating heat in the earth's surface.

This accumulation of heat is known as Global warming.

This is a chronic and serious threat to our planet, because many problems are being caused by the temperature increase. Problems such as, the rising sea levels because of the melting of glaciers, the potential extinction of animal species due to habitat changes, and severe climate changes such as droughts and floods.

One possible way to regulate the greenhouse effect is to reduce the production of greenhouse gases, and for this, something people could do is ride a bike or just walk if your trips are short, or simply use the car less. Another possible solution that could help would be to plant trees to clean the air of carbon dioxide.

And also a good idea, is to save electricity, that's because, for the production of electricity, power plants release many harmful fumes into the atmosphere.
