American Constitution Biography
After the Independence of the United States in 1776, various groups of politicians realized the great weakness of the Articles of Confederation, so there were many opinions about it. One of them was that certain important changes had to be made to reinforce it so that it was not weak, however, others believed that it should be completely replaced by another constitution. The main problem of this was that citizens saw it only as a simple writing about the correct behavior of people, and not as rules to follow. For this reason, twelve state governments had tapped several dozen leading public servants and priate citizens to meet in Philadelphia and ponder possible revisions of the articles of condeferation. They also invited very important men like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, John Rutledge, Nathaniel Gorham, etc ... Its main function was to be able to correctly and equitably organize all laws, in order to govern the citizenship as fairly as possible, without the government ending up in tyranny. A very good reason why citizens could accept it was that if at some point the government became destructive, citizens would have the right to destroy it.
Once the Constitution was established, the most difficult challenge was to make all the states accept it and the citizens begin to follow it, with the aim of having a united nation resistant to any war. Throughout these years, also certain changes were implemented in the constitution, until it was perfected to the maximum. A clear example is the creation of the Bill of Rights on September 25, 1789, to completely cover the rights of citizens in the field of freedom of expression, judgment and ownership of property.
It all ended on July 4, 1788, when all the states of the nation, finally accepted the constitution and began to comply with it with effect. In this case, the preamble establishes that the citizens have decided the form in which they want to be ruled.
