Title: Milestones
Author: Reyes Antonio Dzul Blanco
Introduction
- Introduce the topic:
- Background of the milestone.
It all started when I entered high school at the age of 15. Everyone said I wouldn't last in high school for long because I didn't like going to school and doing homework, but no one expected me to like the stage so much. The high school I had entered was technical, so I had chosen "aquatic recreation," which I liked very much since I went diving, swimming, snorkeling, and life-saving activities, which I enjoyed very much. My goal at that time was to finish high school with good grades and get my certificate to enter college.
Then the first two years passed, and by 2019, I had a strong accident in which I burst a vein in my head. As a result, I was hospitalized for more than three months. The news was so shocking for my classmates and teachers. My classmates said that I would not be able to finish high school and that I would repeat the year. The simple fact of losing the year, for me, was devastating. Then about two weeks passed, and the doctor said that I would be operated on, which was very shocking for me and my mom because the operation was very risky. Finally, everything went very well, and I was out of danger.
After a week passed and I was able to return home, prior to that week I was able to return to my high school almost 3 months away from graduating, which was very worrying for me since I was afraid of failing and giving up the year, but with the help of my teachers and my own effort I was able to complete all my pending and graduate from high school.
What the milestone was.
The main goal at that time for me was to recover and work hard to be able to finish my high school, since I did not want to repeat a year in any way.

- Develop the topic:
- What steps you needed to take to reach your milestone.
First of all, what I had to do to achieve my goal of finishing high school was to be consistent with going every day, to have good grades and before that I had to recover from my illness.
After that, since I went back to school, I went to do all my activities that I couldn't do.
Then I had to study for a week some subjects to take some exams. Finally I had to do some paperwork to be able to graduate, which was complicated because there were not many days left for my graduation. I said I was not going to make it but finally I made it.
What the hardest part was or any surprises along the way.
First of all, one of the hardest things at this stage was to recover, to be patient with all the treatments I was undergoing.
Then the most difficult thing was undoubtedly to do all the activities that I could not do in a month, because I needed to catch up and the teachers had something to evaluate.

- What the result was.
After so much hard work and dedication I was told that I accredited my courses and that if I could graduate with my class, I was able to obtain my high school certificate and thus be able to begin the process of enrolling in the university where I am currently in my 7th semester.
