LITTLE PETER AND THE WOLF

Props:
Costumes:
Narrator: It was a long, long time ago. The story you will hear shows the life of Peter, a little shepherd who used to tell lies and got himself in serious problems.
(Peter and his mother at home)
Peter: mom, I’m ready to go out with the sheep.
Mom: do you have your pack of lunch?
Peter: yes mom, my flute and my book too. Can I take an extra piece of bread with jam?
Mom: I think you have enough, and we don’t have any more bread.
Peter: well, I guess I have enough. See you mom!
Mom: Bye, take care and be careful with the sheep.
Narrator: Peter always wanted more of everything: more bread with jam, more money, more sleeping time, more playing with his friends. An even though he was a good boy and helped his mom at home, he had the habit of telling lies to obtain things.
(Peter talks with Mr Roy, the owner of the local store. He wants more bread with jam.)
Peter: Good morning Mr. Roy!
Mr. Roy: Good morning Peter! What can I do for you?
Peter: My mom needs some fresh bread and a jar of jam. She says she can pay next week.
Mr. Roy: That’s the 3rd time this week your mom asks for merchandise. Are you sure she can pay?
Peter: Yes, Mr. Roy, I’m sure she will sell one sheep in time to pay you.
Mr. Roy: Very well, here’s the bread and jam. Make sure you be a good boy and be nice with your mom.
Peter: Thank you Mr. Roy I will. Have a nice day.
Mr. Roy: Bye Peter.
Narrator: this was the 3rd time peter asked for merchandise in the name of his mom without telling her. Just to obtain what he wanted! Peter’s real plan was to sell a sheep, tell his mom he had lost it and pay Mr. Roy.
Peter is in the country with the sheep, sitting under a tree and thinking about some game to play.
Peter: I’m bored! I like to be here with the sheep but sometimes I wish I could stay with my friends and play!
Narrator: Another shepherd arrives with his sheep, but Peter wants all the space for his sheep so he tells a lie.
Karl: Good morning boy. My name is Karl. It’s a beautiful day for us and the sheep. I suppose I can rest for a moment with you and my sheep can eat out of this beautiful grass.
Peter: I’m Peter sir, and on this beautiful day there are some terrible news I must tell you.
Karl: What news is that Peter?
Peter: I’m afraid there’s a wolf in this area of the country. I’m just waiting for my uncle to come and pick me up, and then we will get out of this place.
Karl: A wolf! In these parts? Oh, boy that certainly is bad news. Are you sure your uncle is coming to get you? Don’t you want to go with me?
Peter: No sir, thank you but I will wait for my uncle.
Karl: Well, I hope he is back soon. Take car and be careful.
Narrator: Peter obtained what he wanted by using lies again. Mr Karl left with his sheep and Peter had all the space for himself and his animals. There was no danger at all of any wolf.
Narrator: Peter went back home and continued his bad habit of lying. This time he told his mom he needed some extra money to buy a book he needed in school, but this too was a lie.
Peter: Thank you for the money mom I bought my new book and left it in the school under my chair.
Mom: I’m happy you have all the necessary things for your class. If you need anything else remember to tell me.
Peter: I’m going to take the sheep to the country mom. See you later!
Mom: Very well Peter. Take care.
Peter is out in the country again with his sheep, enjoying the weather and the rest under the tree. In the distance, Peter can see Mr Karl, the other shepherd coming to him with his sheep.
Karl: Good morning Peter! How are you?
Peter: Good morning Karl! It’s nice to see you again.
Karl: The other
