Robin Hood (Review)
The life of Robin Hood the outlaw was full of surprising adventures, he was an english man living in the sherwood forest, near the city of nottingham helping the poor people of nottinham by taking the money of the rich and the rich churchmen, but he never took anything from women or good men. Robin Hood was one of the best archers of England and he could fight very well with a quarterstaff, he was the leader of at least 150 men.
This book tells us the story of how Robin Hood and his men, he fought with the man that will eventually become “Little John” one of his best men and archers, him and William Scarlet were the ones with the most mentions in the book. It also talks about how Robin was smart enough to set up cleaver traps to the churchmen and to one of his bigger enemies, the sheriff of nottingham.
The way the book tells us this stories is very simple and cuts a lot of details, some of them might be very important, like the way Robin was living in London as a loyal servant of the King, that leaved me with some unanswered questions, also his marrige with maid Marriah was just like a point and done, we almost never hear about her again, only for the way she dies. But this was the way the book was intended so its okay if you are looking for simplicity.
The book tells the most important stories from his life, he saved lifes, he took money from bad people and got the respect from the people of nottingham and a part from London. The part of the book when he dies its very direct, Robin falling right in to a trap, telling his last words to Little John. In general the book is too short, fun at times but leaves a lot out. The book its not so great.
