Introduction

The perks of being a wallflower is a beautiful book about how difficult is to have friends at school; Based in “Charlie”, he’s a very special young boy of 15 years, read a lot, has no friends and has psychiatric problems, his best friend committed suicide and his favorite aunt had a car accident.

I’m a psychology student, so it's very interesting to me, i mean, Charlie has many problems and it’s amazing how having two friends his life is much improved.

Research Part 1

Characters:

• Charlie: Fifteen years, it´s very naïve, intelligent and has problems making friends. (he likes sam)
• Sam and Patrick (brothers): Eighteen years; they’re older, free, fun and popular. They make the life of Charlie more fun and “special”
• Teacher Bill: English teacher of Charlie, he’s the best inspiration from Charlie.
• Michael: He was the best friend of Charlie. (He committed suicide)  
• Aunt Helen: Aunt of Charlie, sexually abused him when he was a child

Research Part 2

The story begins with Charlie, a shy boy, reader, introverted and serious, he was new to the school, it's very difficult for he make friends, so their first weeks at school are actually very difficult, but he meets Sam and Patrick in a football game, and invite him to a party, and is the first time where the test and alcohol, and drugs. "Welcome to the group of misfits" were the words that they said to Charlie, he felt comfortable and safe with them.

Charlie was gradually improving, at Christmas he was to the "sadie hawkins" with them and everything was perfect; until his friends had to go to college. He liked sam, so before she left, he declared his love and kissed.[pic 3]

The problem is that when all his friends went to college, had a relapse with hallucinations of his childhood, helen is his aunt (his favorite aunt) sexually abused him as a child, he was alone at home and was about to commit suicide but before, he call her sister, and she call the police and then charlie lost the consciousness.
